Here at FISH ADDICTS NYC, we are committed to ensuring the safe and timely delivery of your aquarium fish and supplies. Please review our shipping policy below for all the important details regarding your order.

1. Order Processing Time

  • All orders are processed within 2-5 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day.
  • We will send you an order confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

2. Shipping Methods

  • We offer specific shipping methods to ensure the safe arrival of your fish and aquarium products. For live fish orders, we prioritize and only use expedited shipping to guarantee freshness and minimize transit time.
  • Available shipping options include Priority Overnight and Next day Expedited Shipping. For live fish, we recommend Overnight Shipping to ensure the best condition upon arrival.
  • We partner with reliable carriers, including FedEx and UPS, to ensure secure and timely delivery.

3. Live Fish Shipping

  • Live Fish Shipping is carefully handled to ensure your fish arrive healthy and in optimal condition. Fish are shipped in temperature-controlled packaging to protect them during transit.
  • For live fish orders, we will ship them Monday through Wednesday to avoid any delays over the weekend. Orders placed after Wednesday may be shipped the following week.
  • Shipping fees for live fish may vary depending on the location, size of the order, and shipping method selected. Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.

4. Packaging

  • We use high-quality packaging to ensure your fish and aquarium supplies are protected during shipping. This includes:
    • Insulated Boxes to regulate temperature.
    • Water Bags to keep fish healthy during transit.
    • Bubble Wrap and Foam Inserts to prevent damage to aquarium equipment and accessories.

5. Shipping Restrictions

  • We currently only ship live fish within the continental United States. Unfortunately, we do not ship live fish to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally.
  • Some specific fish species may have shipping restrictions due to local regulations. Please check with us before placing an order for certain species.

6. Live Fish Arrival Guarantee

  • We take great care to ship healthy, active fish, but if for any reason your live fish arrive dead or damaged, please contact us immediately (within 30 MINS of delivery).

7. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are based on your order's size, weight, and destination. You will see the shipping charges at checkout before confirming your order.
  • We occasionally offer promotions with free or discounted shipping for orders above a certain amount. Be sure to check our website for current offers.

8. Tracking and Delivery

  • Once your order has shipped, we will provide you with a tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your shipment.

9. Customer Responsibility

  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that someone is available to accept the package, particularly for live fish orders. Live fish should be promptly removed from packaging and acclimated to your tank as soon as possible upon arrival.
  • If your shipping address is incorrect or undeliverable, we will contact you to resolve the issue. Additional charges may apply for address corrections.
